This series was produced for a childrens magazine.
I often choose to draw trees and animals, so this brief was a perfect
for me.

Black and white etching.
This was inspired by the birth of my niece; of course storks don't
bring babies!

Gift wrap for a London based card company. Great to have such fun
drawing animals. Possibility of doing individual cards at a later
date. |
The
Last Kakapo
Thumbnail

Pen and wash.
Based on a true story about the flightless parrot, native to New Zealand.
I believe it is almost extinct.
I love the shadows in this painting, giving an atmospheric feeling
of the encroaching night.

A spread from a story I wrote about a vegetarian vampire bat. In
this scene, Vincent has just met the Vampire, who he believes is
taking him to the dining room to become an aperitif to the other
creatures. Little does he know, they are a lot friendlier than they
look.

I have produced a series of postcards of the Isle of Wight and am
currently looking for a buyer. I enjoyed doing these because they
are so different from the average photographic or 'chocolate box'
postcard. |

One of my favourite jobs is painting 'house
portraits'. It involves the envious task of sitting in someones
delightful garden on a sunny afternoon, sipping lemonade and painting
my view of their house. This one is near to us and was a wedding present
for the owner's son, who has moved abroad. |
Fish

Oil pastels, scraped.
Fish - another of my obsessions in drawing! This was a bit of fun
for myself, wondering what sort of tiles I would put in my kitchen,
when I eventually have my own! I love to work in mixed media, trying
out different things. |
